This item was approved by the Planning Commission.

Smith's is requesting conditional use approval to place a pylon sign on the Smith's parcel, located at 2100 North and 3600 West. The original sign request was for 70-feet, but the applicant has revised their sign to be 50-feet. This would still require an exception from the Planning Commission as this exceeds the 25-foot height limit. The Planning Commission will need to consider if the additional height is justified for the future 2100 North Freeway.

I would like to submit comment that while this area is growing quickly and is in need of this grocery store we still need to recognize that it is very close to residences. Please limit the signs to 25 feet and ensure that those signs are not lighted in a way that could disturb residents. I would also like to see the sign as close to the corner of 3600 West and 2100 North as possible to keep it from being a disturbance to the nearby residents. on Facebook Share It looks like public comment is closed on this issue but it will be discussed in a meeting in April.
