Lehi City is in the process of building a fiber-optic broadband network to provide high-speed Internet services to its community. After completing a Fiber Feasibility Study (see the study under the documents tab), Lehi City engaged in a competitive process to hire a company to design, construct, and operate a fiber network. This page will provide information and updates throughout the duration of the project.
This fiber network can bring you many benefits including:
Multi-Gig Internet Speeds
Virtually Unlimited Bandwidth Potential
A More Reliable Internet Connection
Are you interested in fiber? Get one step closer by visiting lehi.fibertomycity.com or by registering your address below. To see who a more complete list of who is eligible and how to apply, visit https://www.fcc.gov/acp
Residents apply for the ACP benefit through their selected ISP
Resident receives a discount of up to $30 on their monthly ISP bill
Internet Service Providers
At the Lehi Fiber Groundbreaking Ceremony, Mayor Johnson announced the Internet Service Providers (ISP) that will be working with Lehi Fiber pending contract negotiations. Residents will have multiple options and will be able to choose the best internet service provider for their situation. Meet your providers below!

Do we have to use the fiber if installed?

The City of Lehi is dedicated to extending fiber internet accessibility to all residents through the Lehi City Fiber project. While we're ensuring fiber reaches the front of every home, it's entirely optional for residents to sign up for the service. If you choose not to subscribe initially, there's no obligation. However, by bringing fiber to your doorstep, we're ensuring that in the future, should you decide to connect, it's a simple process. When ready, contact us to set an installation date and connect with an Internet service provider. We're here to provide options and support for your internet needs. For additional information, please go to https://www.lehi-ut.gov/fiber/

Is there a reason why the residents South of Main Street and between 1100 West and 2300 West (South of Willow Creek Middle School) have seemingly being skipped over in the Fiber Roll-out? Neighborhoods in all directions are either "ready to connect" or "under construction". This neighborhood remains labeled as "pre-registration".
The neighborhood is neither old nor new - meaning there aren't tricky legacy-utilities to navigate, nor new construction underway that could possibly make fiber roll-out more difficult.
Is it the HOA stalling things? Something else?
How can members of this community earn a higher position on the priority list?

What is the reason the city can not service the Traverse Mountain area. We hear their is an exclusivity agreement from 20 years ago, but nobody seems to have any information on that agreement and if it is even legally binding. The master association says its not their agreement and the provider doesn't have information either. I would like to get some specific reasons rather than a general "We are constantly evaluating areas to service . . ." that doesn't really provide any informaiton at all.

We understand your concerns regarding the availability of services in the Traverse Mountain area. Unfortunately, due to an existing agreement, we cannot provide services in this specific region. We understand the importance of receiving specific information and apologize for any inconvenience this limitation may cause. We are actively reviewing our options and are committed to finding a resolution. We apologize for any inconvenience.

What's the status of the CA9 area. When is expected completion date.

At this time, CA 9 is currently in the construction phase. However, our timeline is very fluid, and we do not have an estimated time frame for completion. When the fiber network becomes available in your area, the city will announce it through social media and flyers; Internet Service Providers will call to notify you of its availability. We recommend watching the Lehi City fiber website at https://www.lehi-ut.gov/fiber/ for future updates.

Why is Comcast in the process of laying new fiber in Traverse Mountain, but the city states it can't lay fiber in this area? We received notices on our doors, it seems the city came out and marked our lawns in preparation to show where underground piping currently exists, and their trucks have been blocking off parts of the road leading into the neighborhood while they work.

We appreciate you reaching out. We are constantly evaluating and reaching out to various communities and homeowners associations throughout the city to verify that we can lay fiber in those areas. Each community and homeowners’ association differs based on their by-laws; some have agreements with various providers. Other providers may have received permission from those communities to provide services in your area.
When a new provider moves into an area, they must contact the City to identify and mark utilities such as electric, gas, water, telephone, fiber optics, etc., so that they do not pose a risk of injury to workers or risk of being damaged during penetration, excavation, trenching or other activities This process is called Blue Staking.

The Lehifibernetwork.gov page is not up to date for the project. The last update was from June. This engage page refers to the lehifibernetwork.gov for construction project updates. How long before July and August updates are available?
It is not really an update if it is 2 months old.

Thank you for reaching out; we have been working to connect various hubs/shelters throughout the City to provide a foundation for future areas. While we have been working to place fiber in your area, it may still need to be fully implemented. The City’s time frame as to when those areas will be open to sign up is very fluid. I apologize that I cannot provide an exact date for when you can sign up in your area. We have the most up-to-date information on our website https://www.lehi-ut.gov/fiber/
Thank you for your contribution!
