The applicant is requesting an amendment to the Hansen (JJR) Tennis Club Development Agreement to allow for signage on the property and building. The original agreement allowed for the commercial recreational tennis facility, but signs for the building were overlooked and not clearly defined during the approval process. The building is now complete and operational.
As noted in the DRC comments, the applicant’s narrative states they want simple spotlights for illumination. The Code does not allow spotlights that shine upwards. The Planning Commission and City Council will need to decide if they are comfortable with the applicant’s proposal of lighting type as well.
