Jeff White is requesting to convert an existing garage on his property to a detached accessory dwelling unit. The garage was originally built in 2020, and structures that were built before 2021 are considered a conditional use. The converted ADU meets the requirements of Chapter 26 of the Development Code as it is larger than 300 square feet and is set back 5 feet from the rear property line. The Planning Commission can place some restrictions on the structure to help mitigate negative impacts if any are identified.
