Share I’m not quite sure how this will change with the small tiny streets in these communities? Fire, EMT already have a hard time navigating and if you allow parking in some of these exchange community’s it will get worse! on Facebook

That is a great question. We hope to encourage parking in parking stalls or on streets that have the width for on street parking. If adequate parking is provided, people will have less incentive to park in less safe areas that cause visibility and other concerns.
Share In my experience, the majority of the complaints in west Lehi come from those households with more than 3 cars. The Exchange has more parking than any other high density community I’ve seen in Utah. Every townhome has a 2 car garage and almost all also have 2 driveway stalls. I hear a lot of complaints about the garage sizes being too small. When living in an Edge townhouse, I had a garbage can, Acura MDX suv and F150 in the garage. It was tight, and so sometimes I parked the truck in the driveway. I have 4 tenants living in the home now and they have never expressed parking as being a concern. I think the tandem parking is completely adequate as 2 spaces. If people feel like they need 4 spaces in a condo or townhouse, and that the tandem setup is inadequate, I feel they are being unreasonable. If anything, I feel like additional parking spaces should be assigned to units, so that no particular unit claims 6 spaces and filling their garage with stuff that they can’t use that for cars. on Facebook
