Uncommon Architecture is representing the Outlet's at Traverse Mountain. The Outlet's would like to build a storage building for their holiday decorations. Because the building will not be accessed by the public, they want the building to blend in to the existing hillside as much as possible. Our design requirements are to create aesthetically pleasing buildings that do not blend mostly because they are assumed to want to attract people to them
The proposed building will need exceptions to the following requirements.
Exceeds the maximum 25-feet setback from the property line
Exceeds the maximum 20 percent EIFS
Does not include 40 percent glass on the front façade
Does not include a hierarchal feature at the building entrances
Does not include three architectural features per façade.
The Planning Commission can choose to grant these exceptions. Anyone from the public is welcome to make a comment related to these exceptions. You can also ask any questions below.
