This item received a positive recommendation from the Planning Commission.
Lehi City requests review and recommendation for a proposed amendment to the Table of Uses (Chapter 5) and Chapter 12 of the Development Code. The Planning Division is proposing to begin a comprehensive update to the non-residential and residential Table of Uses of the Development Code.
Due to the size and complexity of the number of uses, Staff proposes to break up the update into smaller pieces. The purpose of this comprehensive update is to adjust several of the conditional uses to be permitted uses per Planning Commission direction. This first part of the amendment prioritizes uses that already contain supplementary requirements in Chapter 12 of the Development Code that essentially act as the “conditions of approval”.
Minor updates are proposed to Chapter 12 of the Development Code to correspond with concurrent updates to both Tables of Uses. The updates will help provide clear supplementary requirements for certain uses that are transitioning from being conditional to permitted. This will give Staff, developers, and residents clear direction on what to expect when uses that have more potential for impact come in for review.
