Consultation has concluded

The applicant requests review and recommendation of the Beckstrom Development Agreement. The applicant previously requested to do a Development Code amendment to Chapter 20, Home Occupations. The City Council directed staff to draft a Development Agreement to allow the Beckstrom’s specific home occupation with the needs that it has.

A Development Agreement allows for uses other than those normally allowed in the zone. This is a legislative item, initiated by the City Council. Recent State Legislation requires that these agreements have a public hearing with the Planning Commission prior to their approval by the City Council.

This Development Agreement specifically would allow for the Beckstrom Home Occupation, which requires equipment, materials, and vehicles to be stored on the property. They are proposing a handful of other requirements under Terms E. Owners Obligations including, but not limited to the following:

*Allowance to use two bays of a detached accessory building for the home occupation

*Up to three on-site employees at one time

*Specific hours of operation and limits on hours and frequency of deliveries

*Enhanced buffering and screening requirements
